Might be my imagination, but my 2008 seems quieter after changing the oil with a little Lucas oil additive. Anyone else see this?

Sometimes when an engine is a little low or more on oil, it can sound louder than normal.

Perhaps you were a little low before the change?

Lucas is good stuff. I know the owners of Lucas. They are based right by my Corona CA plant.

Maybe you didn't have enough oil in it, before the oil change.

For some reason 'Jet Provost' album "Toys" is moderated!? But I don't see it in the "awaiting moderation" queue.

..maybe your engine cover was not latched all the way and now it is...

I suppose it's possible the oil level may have been a touch low. I didn't check the level before changing. I'm sure the engine cover was solid though.

Good suggestions. I'll be keeping an eye on it... Um, ear open.
