I've had my Smart a year and I keep discovering things about it. I just happened upon the Security Code setting in the radio. I bought my Smart used. Any idea what the default code might be? Any ideas (besides going to the dealer) to get the code and/or reprogramming it?

It should be in the owners manual. Try 0000 or 1234.

Had to replace 12V battery and lost code......Just used your suggestion and 0000 brought it back to life...Thank You!
