I have a 2008 smartie. Whenever I turn the car on, the rear parking lights and license plate light come on. It doesn't matter where the stalk is, they are always on. As soon as I turn off the car, they shut off. Is this a quirk of my car?

Daytime running lights; on the smart (as on most M-B cars) the rear lights are on as well.
