'Tis true, hence the "that I would like" disclaimer. It was a Fit Sport and the top trim Fiesta. Based on what I see on the road, though, I would hazard to guess that the Fit Sport easily outsells the base and that the same will likely hold true for the Fiesta - nothing to back this up but anecdotal evidence, though. And, I wouldn't argue that these cars aren't worth the bucks. The Fit Sport is a nice piece of work in that segment.You were looking at loaded versions of the two cars.
Point is, nowadays it's not too difficult to find B-segment 5-doors quickly approaching or exceeding $20K. I priced an Elantra Touring edition the other day as well and it was at the magic $20K sticker as well, but it is a bit larger.
