Doesn't seem like a bad light setup. Kinda weird with the thing on the top, and the not-quite-round top and bottom bits of the lens. Asked the folks at TheRetrofitSource for a quote on installing projectors in the factory Smart housings, and was told parts and labor, due to Smart apparently using a "Stronger, stickier adhesive" to hold the lens in place, would come to about $1,300. EEP!

Those lights from China are actually closer to the 453's concept design than the lights we actually get from the factory.

Here's the smart fourjoy concept.

These lights were supposed to be a "production ready" design for actual LED headlamp beams (like a Toyota Corolla, just fancier), but smart ultimately gutted out the design for reflector housings. Leave it to the aftermarket to actually make them a reality. Apparently those Chinese ones have an extra neat hat trick in that the fibre optic LED strip turns amber when you activate the indicators.
