Hi all. My low beam bulb burned out. I noticed that Fiona has two separate bulbs- one for high beam, one for low beam which is unusual. So for the low beam- if I put a regular Sylvania XtraVision bulb that is designed to be used as both high and low beam, would that work? Or do I have to get a bulb that is only marketed as "low beam"? Thanks in advance for any prompt answers!

Smart 451s use H7 bulbs for high and low beams, 4 bulbs total. Beam patters are formed by the reflectors (high beams) and lenses (low beams). Other bulbs wont’ have the correct bases to fit into the bulb housings and the electrical connectors wont mate properly. If you were to cobble a dual-filament bulb into one of the housings, the beam patterns would not work well.

So a high/low beam H7 would work in either high beam or low beam housing. Alright, thanks!
