Is that a change from the way the key fob previously operated? 
Remote lock/unlock
It has been few months already that I have to be very close (less than 15 feet) to the car in order to lock/ unlock.
Tried the spare remote key, replaced the batteries. ANy suggestions?

I'm having that same problem now. Think of any changes you made at the time. maybe we're blocking the receiver somehow. I installed OVMS unit and maybe affecting the signal
