Replace Lock Button

I have a 2014 SmartCar Pure that I bought used from CarMax. The lock button on my fob fell out and now I have no way to lock my car except using a pen to manually get in the fob. How can I replace it? Everything else works just fine. I live in San Diego, CA. Thanks!

when you go to get out of your car, open the door, hit the car' lock/unlock button on the dashboard, get out and close the door. your car should now be locked.

That didn’t work for me :/ I tried what you said but didn’t work.
Sorry, I forgot you have to still have the key in the ignition. See page 177 of the owners manual. If you don't have one you can d/l it online here: download vehicle manuals | smart USA
Buy a new 451 remote key fob shell off USA Ebay and replace with the interior electronics from your old fob...Here is one selling the 4 button casing type which you have in the USA (highlight link and right click and goto link)...https://www.ebay.com/itm/Remote-Key-Shell-Case-Fob-3-1-Button-for-SMART-Fortwo-450-Forfour-451-Roadstar/291818360795?fits=Make%3ASmart&epid=1078306864&hash=item43f1bacfdb:g:jo0AAOSwrBdarHMo

On the key fob all 3 button are printed on a single piece of rubber, that pressure fits inside the key fob.
All replacements should be under $5. Available at the stealership, smartmadness, Ebay, etc..................

Try UHS-hardware.com. I got a blank new key for $19. Cannibalized it for parts.
