Hey ladies and gents, my 09 451 needs the panoramic roof replaced and I've read that it requires a special kit including a primer and adhesive. The kit is OEM Smart Car Fortwo Panoramic Roof Adhesive Glue Set - CODE E22 OEM A4519890071... However the kit seems to be discontinued and I can't find it anywhere. I've located the adhesive but I can't find any info on the primer to be used. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I know there are other smart forums besides this this one on the internet.
You may want to try them.
Or check out vendors in Europe where the our little city cars sold somewhat better. Check with some auto body shops or auto glass shops.
Sadly, smart was a super low volume selling car here in the US. Now it is an orphan brand on top, parts will start to dry up.
Other than safety and emissions, smart / MB only has to carry parts that fail under the duration of the cars warranty. Now it is up to after market companies to fill in. They will, if they can make a profit.

Regular urethane windshield adhesive and primer will work. The pano roof on my Dad's 2011 came loose. Contrary to what smart and MB want you to believe, you can clean it up and glue it back on. Been there done that... It's been on over a year, and through killer sunshine in Florida. Still stuck.
