But nobody should be under any illusions that the writers of this awful bill had any green sympathies - General Motors wanted it to stay to preserve their sunk investments in the Volt and Bolt, and General Motors get what they want. It's more like a the old broken clock analogy. Of course, those exporting to the US who do have some green sympathies like Smart will benefit too.
