Result! And it's amazing!

I got a call from my rep at the Smart Center. Apparently the issue was twofold. First of all, I've had a recurring problem with my air-pressure sensors. And somehow, the computer seems to have gotten tripped up by this. Secondly, I needed the most recent software update.

When both of these were done, I got the car back, and it seems to be driving fine.

Total cost: two different diagnostics, testing the car, etc: $140. Coulda been MUCH worse.
My car just crapped out at 65,555 miles (08 Passion). I have had the air sensor issues and continual error code, though smart couldn't find anything more (after $1300). Now I died while I was driving - a thump, a couple of lurches, and error P0805 and P0900. I'll have to look up retraining the transmission, but it was towed to a local shop for now.

My wife was driving the car and was making a u-turn when the car sputtered, sputtered, died. The car now won't start. Ignition switches on. One can shift through the gears. But turning the key to start the car does nothing. Neutral can be selected, but the car does not roll. I just pulled the code(s) and there is one, P0805, which my scanner reports as Clutch Position Sensor Circuit. My guess is clutch actuator. Does that sound correct?

P.S. FYI, the tow truck operator and his dispatcher were very exciting they were towing a smart.

Just got the 0805 and 0900 after a thump and car wouldn't drive or start. Towed to a local shop. I'll see if they can follow the actuator check and try for the simple solution first.

This follows a few rounds with P2188 codes. smart couldn't find anything. They replaced on sensor for about $300. Codes came back with CEL just before I needed an emissions check, so I had to have the CEL and codes extinguished. After another $1200 or $1300, they said that should do it, but I might still get the 2188 code. I passed my emissions check, renewed my plates and the 2188 code came back almost immediately. I cancelled it with my ScanGaugeII until the ScanGauge stopped working (8 or 9 years old) so I replaced that with an UltraGauge and continued to clear the 2188 when it showed up.

If we can't solve this just by dealing with the actuator, what am I looking at? Anyone have any direct experience? (My care is also an 08 Passion - 65,555 miles)
Me neither. Just thought i'd mention it. New guy I guess.
