Hey All,

I hope all are well and coronavirus free.

I have been having intermittent stability control issues with the ABS cycling on sometimes mild curves. Thinking that the yaw sensor might be failing, I replaced it with a used one from eBay, but, as I’ve seen before, any time a replacement part is installed, the SAM/ECU determine its a new part and turn on the “yellow triangle !” light.

Save a trip the the dealer or buying a C3 or C4 MB Star Machine, does anyone know of a device or method to get the SAM/ECU to recognize the replacement part without a 2 hour drive and $160 trip to the MB dealer for what amounts to a 3 minute job?

I’ve tried my OBD2 and BlueDriver tools and reset everything they are capable of resetting with no results.

Any assistance would be appreciated!

Thanks

It's just possible the used part is not working, or the yaw sensor wasn't really the problem......
I don’t think so. I saw the same behavior when I replaced the ABS pump a few years back. Plus, if I put the old part in, the problem goes away. I suppose the replacement yaw sensor could be faulty.

Has anyone else seen this?
