more heads are better than one. does anyone know of any aftermarket rims less than or close to $100 each. i have looked and found very few but someone out there may know of some i missed. could you let me know the names of the ones you found so i can take a look at them since factory rims are scarce and expensive.

thanks for your help

I guess besides the fact that those wheels aren't my favorite design, what if everyone wants a different width or different offset? It looks like they can go as much as -12. i'd be happy with around a zero offset - that way I won't have to get spacers for the rear.

Recently purchased a set of aftermarket 5.5" steel rims. Chinese made, of course, but price wasn't bad, or so I thought. They showed up the other day. Pulled them out this morning and two are bent. Sending them all back. I'll go with used OEMs, I think.

Thank you.

I was actually responding to this post maybe that's a forum etiquette no-no?

(If so I apologize).

Both www.tirerack.com and www.tires.com still sell wheels for the C451. (TireRack is cheaper). I prefer aluminum as well unless you can live without the steel covers.

I don't mind using the steel ones for snow tires (although two of the three sets I have are on aluminum ones at this point...) I didn't know www.tires.com carried wheels. Thanks for the tip.

Snow tires are not. I hate the looks of the smart cars steel wheels. Especially without wheel covers. You can still be stylish with alloy’s, in the winter time.

Bob, use to have a lot of alloy wheels for sale. He’s here in Kansas City.
