According to this interview with the SmartUSA President (Dave Schembri), the warranty will only be 2 years/24k miles (sigh). Service intervals will be every 10,000 miles. Extended warranties will be sold only through smart.
The warranty will include roadside assistance, 24/7/365 from any location (in the US), which will help for those who have to drive a ways to their dealer.
