Forgive me if this is the incorrect place to post this. I recently went into a body shop to get my rocker panel replaced. Well today the part came in and I took her in to get fixed and when she came back out, I was looking at the panel to see if it looked alright and they SCREWED it in. The other original side of course has no visible screws and so when I asked the body shop WHY they screwed the panel in they responded that it was so “it doesnt snap off since it’s just a piece of flimsy plastic”. My question is could this have affected the integrity of the car? I’m worried about the cell or whatever else he mightve screwed into. Maybe I’m freaking out over nothing but I know I won’t be going back to this shop.

Maybe I don't know the whole story, but it sure sounds to me like they did a p#@% poor job and I'd raise holy hell and have them do it right! Maybe next time they will duct tape it on? :(

rocker panel attaches.................

The rocker panel attaches to the car with little square plastic clips. VERY easy to break when removing the
rocker panel. Very cheap to purchase from SmartMadness,or anyone else that sells smart parts. Evilution has
step-by-step instructions on remove/install rocker panels.....................

I would be concerned about rust starting where they drilled into the metal under the rocker cover. I believe that is part of the tridion and it is supposed to be powder coated on the 451. You have every right to be upset as I would be, too.
