Due to the fact that the AutoFlash is adjusting the shift points of the gearbox, the difference is more noticeable on automatic transmission models, but it will still make a nice difference on manual transmission models as well.

Hmm - wonder if my 451 has an automatic or manual transmission? Since when was there a choice of two different models of transmission for the 451 (for the US)??

Is there a confusion here between models and modes?

Yes it does! We have videos of other vehicles using the autoflash on our youtube channel. We just have not created one with the smart fortwo 451 but we are working it. It is one of our best selling products. Here is a video of the Autoflash being introduced:

Any data on the long term affects? Is there danger of hurting anything since you are bypassing a limiter? What about using on an older engine (> 100K miles)?

There are no long term affects. You can always reset it to stock and there is no danger with how the AutoFlash bypasses the limiter. The engine is not affected in any negative way with the AutoFlash. It actually helps the clutch last longer.

With our headquarters now located in Texas, we have been able to bring in some new talent to help us with the filming of such videos and we have been busy making several new video series.

We have a number of videos with customers installing an Autoflash into other vehicles and the result is always the same. Overwhelmingly positive! It doesn't matter what vehicle we are flashing the customers are always happy with it. We invite you to go check them out and if you are local we can take you for a ride in one of our smarts that we flashed years ago.

But in the land of trucks and long horns, you can imagine the lack of smart cars to film. On top of that, 451 are not manufactured anymore. Meaning there are fewer and fewer of them on the road as time goes on. So getting a smart specific before and after is a challenge.

When we get one in the shop, in Texas, we will shoot a video.
