My 2015 Pure's lease is coming to end in August. MB has already contacted me to see if I wanted to buy it or plan to turn it in. I really like the car and want to continue the Smart experience but MB isn't making me an other I can't refuse. Of course it's full price and I realize there isn't any negotiating when it comes to the residual value.

I'm probably going to buy out the Pure but I want to see what the Smart community thinks.

From all those on the forum who have gone through the same experience the answer is it doesn’t make dollars and sense. The smart resale value is low, much lower than the amount due at the end of your contract. There is one option a member was able to exercise. They will most likely chime in with their experience.

MB DNA turned his smart at his lease end. Then he found it at auction in Atlanta. Found someone to bid on it for him and bought it back .
Contact MB DNA about the particulars. He may be able to walk you through it.
