About 3 years ago I bought a low milage 2008 451. It had 33K on it and it has about 47K on it now. I did get a B service at the Mercedes dealer about 2 years ago at 40K (I live in the city--lost my job and don't drive much.) I don't know if they did a anti-freeze flush and I can't find the paperwork.

I'm going to be changing my oil and some other stuff this weekend (lubing the clutch actuator among them) I'm wondering if I should do an anti-freeze flush at the same time. I know that it's not been used much but I'm thinking it may have degraded in the meantime. I have no idea what the previous owner did except barely drive the car.

What do you all reckon? How can I tell if it's still good or should i just do it because hell it's probably 9 years old and why the hell not?

Thanks :D

If you elect to DIY, be absolutely sure to bleed the cooling system to release air that gets trapped in the cylinder head. It's easy enough to do and vitally important.
Lots of info on this topic in the forums.
