There is a thread going about the side air vent on the ICE models and its purpose. That vent is on the electric models too. Does it serve any useful purpose on our electrics?

The batteries need an external vent for safety, I would think that is what that is for.

No it doesn't. It's just there because that was easier than deleting it and needing more special parts for the ED.
