I might know the answer :D but it might apply to Muscles cars and my S10 extreme0:) BUT,
i noticed that the passenger side rear tire is wearing out a lot faster than the driver's side rear. inner/middle more than the outer. why is this..? , as far as i know not driving a turbo charge 4.3L

Here's my .02 opinion... I'm going to suggest the backing plate bracket and wheel bearing support on your De Dion tube has been welded at the extreme tolerance of negative camber... The angle is suppose to be negative 2 degrees with a plus or minus tolerance of a 1/2 degree...
I have followed many of smart car at rallies & events and sometimes I have noticed one rear wheel angling more than the other... 1/2 degree doesn't sound like much but in a 25" tall tire can be significant... Some over inflation may have played a part too...

my guess is a good alignment shop could confirm with a 4-wheel check. If it is off, then I'm not sure what the procedure is, but the alignment shop might have some suggestions.
