The rear bumper cover of my 2016 fortwo has some gouges in it from parking lot mishaps, so I'd like to replace it at some point. If I buy a new black bumper cover, will the color match the existing black panels, or should I get a primed panel and have it painted?

Hi, ZacMatic - I have a 2009 Black ForTwo, and just replaced the tailgate panel with a fresh one from the dealer. The car was never garaged until recently, and I can detect no difference or fading of the original panels compared to the new one. I want to replace the center bumper cover for the same reason as you. In fact, the reason I replaced the tailgate panel was because some jack hole with a monster truck pushed his license plate screws into it. Did he leave a note? Oh, no, not him! Anyway, it looks great now.

Thanks for the info! I wonder if it would be worth mounting a dashcam in the rear to catch jerks like that....
