I own a 2015 Smart with these tire specifications:

Front: 175/55 R15 Rear: 195/50R15

Is it possible to put winter tires with the specifications of:

Front: 155/60 R15 Rear: 175/55 R15

Where we live we cannot purchase the correct tire sizes.
what are the pros/cons of putting smaller tires on for the winter if it is possible?

Smaller tires will work; some folks in The Great White North even run the front size on all four corners in the winter.

HOWEVER, make sure you stay within about 1%* of the OEM tire size diameter or you risk setting off the ESP and going into limp home mode. :)

* nobody is really sure about the maximum deviation from the OEM size you can get away with....

Not sure of your location, but if you are within UPS and FedEx delivery territory, you sure can get whatever tire you want.
