Smart 453 with wheels that have a lip

To answer the original poster, you won't see very many 453s with wheels with lip because of the ET 44 offset.
That offset and wheel width determines the amount of lip.
Most lips will look like the front wheels of the picture I posted above.
Another issue related to this is available tire widths.
In a 23" diameter tire, a 205 and 215 (wide) tire are the only readily available sizes now.
These tires will mount on a 6-8 inch wide rim, 7" wide being optimal without looking 'stretched'.

The OEM are 4 lugged, off set wheel size front and rear. You would probably have to find some type of lug bolt adaptor too.
I like how the rear wheel protrude out, gives the car a muscular look.
