The new smart electric drive the 453 series makes its world premiere - agree the current rumors - in October 2016, the Paris Motor Show, the launch takes place then in November 2016 selected USA, before the model will be available for the European market in February about 2017th

1/3 less time - as a 4-seater variant
the smart electric drive, we expect the way not only a power increase and an increase in the range of up to 160 km at best, but also a shorter charging time than previously. We expect personally to shorten the charging time by 1/3 of the previous values. In order to better position the vehicle on the market, even a small reduction in price 2-digit percentage range is part of the manufacturer also conceivable. Optical replaced the vehicle the way including the Style package and a rim tape in electric green.

Official statements on the upcoming smart electric drive are incidentally not yet available. The new smart electric drive will be produced as a 2, as well as a 4-seater and convertible.n

It'd be interesting to see the performance specifications. Is the speed still limited to under 160 km/h? 400 m time?

While the BRABUS badging is appealing I am totally NOT blown away by the appearance add ons. I do not like the twin exhaust (come on its a .9L turbo...) and the body kit and wheels seem... kind of boring to me.

I do like the new Tach with the black background, and the seats look a nice combination of alcantera (sp?) and synthetic leather. I would buy the ebrake handle and shifter head.

Thanks for the video though. I'm looking forward to some of these accessories making their way to north america.

Do you really want to be in one of these going that fast? lmao!

Just saw the post about 109HP... wow that is a nice bump! If I could get a bit more power off the line this thing would be great.

I have done 169 km/h (105 MPH) on the Coq in my cdi, so yes!

You're right: the body kit seems to be absent, compared to the 450 and 451.
