scVAB is still holding the line that they will be open by the end of FEB. They publish: "Gary (Gullickson, the Brand Manager) adds that he sees his biggest challenge as making sure that potential smart owners understand that, the first year especially, will see limited inventory available to the non-reservation holding public." I hope that there isn't limited inventory for their asssigned reservers too!
scVAB will not be opening today, 29 FEB. They said this morning that due to construction delays that they will not open before sometime next week. So it goes....
Only that I am a 1271 and it was configured on 15 FEB, and I am pre-assigned to scVAB. Actually, I was pre-assigned long before I configured. Hopefully by 05 MAR they will have some info.
scVAB confirms that they will open tmorrow, Sat 08 MAR. The paving that has held things up is now complete. The information on the scVAB website that there will be a "Grand Opening" in APR is erroneous, and the Brand Manager is having that corrected.
Other info from the Brand Manager (Gary Gullickson):
They hold a list of names through APR (I'm not on it - 1271);
they are given the names of the "at-bat" reservers pretty much simultaneously with the notification of delivery of their vehicle;
they expect a through-put of 20-30 cars per month;
they assume 250-300 are on their customer list;
they presently have their dealer demonstrators, and one customer car.
