Hello to all car lovers MADE SO FAR BIGGER, The Smart.
*** I am Spanish, Castilla y Leon, north of Madrid and wanted to share with you my special Smart, I developed a Smart for the 2013 Dakar Rally, which runs in Peru, Argentina and Chile.
** Will post some pictures in the image gallery, hope you like it.

Looks like some mods that folks here will really appreciate.
From what I can tell the smart in question is one of the original (pre-450) versions?
(headlights don't have the peanut look)?

Wish the site was available in english?

I'd really like to know what mods were done to the engine?

wrumbarger - There are no production smarts earlier than the 450. The 450 did have two different types of headlight designs though. The earliest 450s had "almond" style headlights and later 450s (including all G&K conversions) had the familiar "peanut" design.

Looks like an interesting project!

I thought the ones with the "almond" headlights were a different version, but didn't know what to call them.

Peru is a very beautiful country and I trust you will enjoy your stay there.

I went to Peru around the beginning of 2012 and the DAKAR International Rally was a very, very huge event- Have a great time!

That thing is awesome! It is really just a 450 body put on top of a Polaris XP 900 side by side.
Coincidentally I just bought a Polaris XP 900...hmm
