Does anybody know of any mechanics in or around Pittsburgh that work on Smarts? Besides the Merc dealers of course.

I have had my local tire guys changes brakes and align the front wheels during the annual inspections on mine. I also had the local auto glass guys replace my cracked windshield. Wouldn't know where for engine work, although I know a guy in Penn Run who's reviving a 450 by doing a ground-up rebuild.

What do you need get done?

Well... I've had a P2188 code (fuel/air mixture too rich at idle bank 1) for almost a year now, and I'm hearing a new ticking sound from the rear. I'm thinking it should get a compression test and cylinder valve adjustment. I'd be more likely to trade in the car for a new one than pay the dealer a million dollars to do the work.
