Hello all, I am seeking a Smart repair facility other than the Mercedes Dealers and Smart Madness to replace a purge valve and charcoal shut off valve. I was quoted 1700.+ at the dealer with $160 to read code o) and Smart Madness is too far for me cause of traffic. Looking in Inland Empire from Pomona to Palm Springs and from Corona to the mountains in SoCalif.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Look for just about any independent mechanic who knows their way around a smart or otherwise can find their way around one.

I quickly learned that these cars really aren't much more special than any other European car.

Any certified automotive technician, can perform service on a smart car. Just a car. No sure about any software updates, from a independent.
