I have a 2010 smart passion when i start the car no problem as soon as i shut it off it wont restart i have to wait like 10 minutes
then it starts with no problem it does it even if the car its cold or hot. can somebody help me out i am in Puerto Rico
and not many people knows how to work with d car. the nearest dealer its in San Juan like 3 hours from me. thank you

What happens when you try to restart it before 10 minutes?

I would check your battery connections & condition as well as your brake light switch. You can try placing your shifter in neutral & see if the engine will start. Good luck & let us know what you find out.

Check the heavy cable where it attaches to the starter. It’s on the bottom of the engine and can be seen from the driver side. Because it’s exposed, it can get oxidized and corrode to the point where there isn’t enough current handing capabilities to turn the starter.
