I purchased a set (front and rear) of the smartmadness progressive spring set for my 09' Smart Brabus. I noticed when going over bumper or uneven pathment, the front and rear springs makes a noise. It sounds like the springs are rubbing against the metal base as they compresses or slight turn under compression. Does anyone experienced these noises? I'm thinking it is either not sitting correctly or I need to install either some thin rubber or plastic pieces between the metal base and the springs to eliminate these noises. Car drives fine for over 3000 miles but the noise is quite irritating. Thanks.

No I havent. I should give them a call or have a local shop do something between the springs and the bottom.

I've had the SM springs since Feb. without problems...the smart handles well and looks better as well. So...yes call them.

spoke to them. will have a local shop inspect the springs. I bet they were installed incorrectly...wtf..

Two coils in the center of the rear spring separated only by plastic tubing when under static load...Is that a true progressive spring
Seems more like a means to lower the car than what it would do for handling...

I would put my money on the sway bar bushing with the new angle.
