I feel ya. I have gone there every year for about 10 years for Jazzfest. I don't know how N.O. will ever fully recover. For every step 2 steps forward, I see one step backwards. Hope your politics can get it together and do something for the people. I intend to go down myself and get involved. One of my favorite places in the world.

OK, here's your opportunity - smarts at Jazzfest in 2010!
That would be GREAT....
How many smart owners are Jazz Fest goers????

Maybe we could arrange a lot for Smart only Parking..
have Smart evening events.. etc.
Heck.. I have been serving Sazuracs to Thread Heads in my driveway after fest anyway... Smart owners are welcome :)

I paid a lady $20 to park on her front lawn. She didn't make much money. Believe it or not, anything bigger than my car would have not fit on the lawn. tvengineer. I would definitely love to stop by to say hello to a fellow smart enthusiast next year. If your that close to jazzfeest, then I know you saw alot of water with Katrina. I thought it was a miracle that they even had the jazzfest that year. May you never have to experience anything close to that again.

Count me in; haven't been to the festival in awhile but don't really need an excuse to go back to NO. Even if you're not a jazz fan, still a great opportunity to get together with other smart people and help out the local economy. The new smart center might even want to set something up during that weekend. :)

Bump...

Thanks for splitting the thread....

Lets use it to guage interest in a Smart event in New Orleans..
I was thinking about it last night, and Jazz Fest might not be the best time..

Sure .. . It would be GREAT if Smart owners who go to the Jazz Fest have a way to meet up....
But, what I find with JF is that most people are very busy those weekends with other events. Those who come in from out of town have full schedules of daytime and evening events. On top of that, hotel rooms are hard to get, and pricey.

Like I said earlier in the thread... I would be happy to see smart owners at next years jazz fest.. and your all welcome to stop by my place for a meet and have a drink afterward...
but, possibly another weekend would be better for some sort of organized Smart event/??/
what do you all think???

A good point; unless everyone's willing to take some time out from the fest for smart stuff it's probably too busy. Don't want to get much closer to June because of the National meet; how about prior to the JazzFest?:)
