You are good at fishing. Note that the article specifically states that ALL orders are to "customer" specification. No inventory stock being produced. This may add credence to the email confirmation being a factory order, although not a binding purchase order for the consumer.

I'm almost certain that that's my blue/silver jonny. I think yours is the one on the back of the truck a few pics later.

Hi, I took those photos from a French Smart forum. I think someone from France took those nice photos. In Spain we are gonna arrange a trip to go to Hambatch (1200 kms) and see how those little cars are built. It is like a pilgrimage that anyone who loves smarts has to do at least once in their life, hehehehe.

Hey Stuberman, I was there two weeks ago. Go to the visitor center and if your lucky Sabine will be working there. So many people told me that factory tours were out of the question, I just figured I would see what I could see from outside. Sabine very kindly offered to take me through the factory when her shift ended. Best time I had while in europe! We walked all thru the factory and I asked her a million questions. She was very informative and I can't thank her enough for taking the time to escort me around smartville.

Mike,

It is great to hear that you had such a good time, we are looking forward to it. We have already been corresponding with Sabine so I am sure our plans will work out quite well. I made the arrangements through our salesman (Dean Murray) who sold us our car and helped us get in contact with the right people. By the way, they do not allow kids under 16 in the factory so our kids will need to wait in the communication center while my wife and I take the tour.
