Aaah, but if you are adding gas, your car should be close by , and if you keep a small notebook and pencil in the glove box, you have what you need when you are adding fuel. Plus the battery won't go dead, and you can use a phone for phone calls instead of all the junk they put on them nowadays. Sorry, went a little old school there.

Oh yeah, add a picture on it of your car for the front cover.

Majority of the new vehicles on the road today. Have built in gas mileage calculators. Average/Instant fuel economy. I love the new smart phone today. Camera, video, music, computer, text, email, phone, Calculator etc. All in your pocket. The battery not not going to die. Plug in to the USB of the car. Did the pencil and pad, when I first bought the smart. Glove box full of numbers. Have excel loaded on my iPhone. Just input the fuel economy numbers in that app.

...why bother....when it is flashing .1 it is time to fill up and do it again....

Jetfuel....old...old school...

It's nice to see how much you're averaging in general, or during different seasons/tires.

For me it's nice having this info since I can get a better idea of how long I can go without a fill up on a road trip.

Cheap gas seems to be common in America but here it's 4.65 (CAD) per gallon. You can fill up at costco and save ~ 15-20% so filling up at empty isn't always practical!
