Marcy (SMARTLINC) started this list in her caravan thread:

Lawn Chairs
Umbrella
Water Bottles (the word is to DRINK LOTS OF WATER while in Colorado)
Sunblock
Hats/Visors
Hiking Shoes
Gum

I'd add:

Cameras/batteries
FRS/GMRS radios
More water, snacks for the road
UV protection
Money -$$$$
Updated GPS points of interest
ID your car - how else do we know who's driving what?
Wi-fi access - not included in the price of the hotel room

Feel free to add to the list! :)

For this reason I usually carry TWO cell phones (on different carriers).

Often when one doesn't work, the other does?

You can also bring a Neon along with you. I hear he makes a good travel companion...

...as long as you meet his parents first.

Lawn chairs and umbrella? Uh, I plan to drive a smart to Denver. If I had the room for those items, I'm sure a spare would make better use of the space.

Better purchased on location if the need arises, IMO.

Last time I hauled a lawn chair it used most of the boot space...

I've met you parents.

A folding camp chair will fit in the smart.:)

Cell phones work where they get a signal - are there no towers near the larger resorts and towns in the mountains?

My cell phone (At&T) worked on the drive to Estes Park in June. Not the whole trip but a large part of it. Definitely in Nederland, Estes Park and Lyons. Also along parts of the highway.

Marcy and I drove the route that the National's caravan will be taking to Estes Park.

A two smart convoy, myself and a fellow from Ottawa in his cdi will be passing by the Chicago area around 10am Monday July 8. No one is making use of the passenger seat in my car.

I will be driving straight back home from Pike Peak on Sunday, as I wish to be home Monday evening.

I could get you there and back from the event.

W00t thanks everyone! :D

Next hurdle:
Mom doesn't want me to hitch a ride like I did for the Dell's Rally. She thinks I'll get kidnapped.

That would probably be the best thing that could happen with this bunch....:D

PS - at least they won't have to worry about your car getting shot!
