I may be wrong and I'm sure I'll be corrected buy a member if I am, but I believe SOS Diagnostics needs your existing key plus the new key that you bought and the Sam unit all to be mailed in to them and they can remake the new key.

Bought a used 08 451 Passion Cabrio and had only the one key. We are rural and there are no dealers for miles. I will purchase a spare key with the remote buttons so I have a spare. Is there ANYONE who can do this either online or over the phone using a key code or VIN? I’ll pay the price and ask thst it be shipped to me here in North Carolina

My smart I bought 5 years ago came with one key/fob.
Here is the key I ordered a few years ago, still uncut and unprogrammed.

Why, because I have not found a licensed and bonded locksmith here in Las Vegas who will cut the key and program the fob and guarantee that it'll work.
No guarantee if they don't use keys and fobs from their suppliers.
They will cut the key and program it but if it doesn't work in the car you still have to pay them.
I am not willing to disconnect the Sam and mail in my only good key to SOS and trust that everything will be fine shipping wise. Just something I'm not comfortable with.
After 5 years I still have only 1 key/fob.
