I had the seats out of my 2008 Fortwo today. Under the driver's seat is a big plastic box that takes up almost all the room under the seat. I always wondered about that. I found a speaker in that box! For the radio? Does anyone know how to turn it on? I clicked through the radio but other than right or left I do not see any control for this. Rob.

That’s the factory subwoofer for your car. That upgrade, came with the optional premium radio 10. You also should have tweeter on each corner, of the dashboard too. The sub and tweeter are in use, when you use your radio. The subwoofer handles the bass tones of the car. The tweeters you high notes.

That's it. My speaker must be bad. I can hear the tweeters but no sound from the under seat one. Can I just unplug it and take it out, or does it need to be in the system?
