getting rubber squeaking from somewhere and need to spray all suspension parts that have rubber and am not sure what to use. unless i am mistaken doesn't petroleum products degrade rubber?
Again, if you go to the Technical forum, then to the 451 section and use the "Search This Forum" and type in Squeak, you will see a numbef of posts about different noises and when they come up. Also different ways to lubricate the bushings to eliminate the problem.
WD-40 works but usually on a temporary basis. A silicone based spray with graphite will last longer My guess would be the sway bar ends and they can be a bit difficult to get lubricant inside them. May take a few applications.
Spray silicone will work, just apply it frequently to get the most benefit. I would not use a petro based lube. The silicone is also good for the door gaskets to help keep them pliable. Just don't spray it on any glass, very difficult if not impossible to remove completely.
