So, I did the brakes on my '08 Cabrio yesterday. Pads, Rotors, and shoes. Nothing out of the ordinary. After buttoning it up, I would assume the pedal would return to normal after a few applications of brakes (due to me compressing the caliper pistons and drum slave cylinders in to get the new pads/shoes on). But the first application is a little long at the pedal, like I've got air in the lines. Pumps right up to normal on the second application, also like air in the lines. And the brakes work fine, even on the first, long, application.

What did I miss?


BTW, the good news? The sound I thought was my power steering motor going south was actually the west indicators rubbing. :nerd:
