Thanks the age of the car led me to an incorrect assumption power steering started to be changed about a decade agoYour power steering is electric assisted, no fluid to get low. There is no steering lock like most cars have, so that can't be your problem. Could a tie rod be bent?
Thanks this is important advice I will find outCheck the steering coupler or flex joint at the base of the steering column where the steering shaft is attached to the steering rack. Those have been known to fail and cause the steering wheel to bind.
How could you check the power steering fluid? It’s a electric rack and pinion, or none at all.Steering wheel tries to lock up at times hard to turn I checked the power steering fluid looked ok a few comments would be appreciated

Heres what it looks like. Take your car, to a alignment shop, have them diagnose your issue. That’s your best bet.
