I'm not from around there, but I have a suggestion...

Bandana's BBQ, out on Gravois Rd. in Sunset Hills (I think?).... Big parking lot, lotsa room for parking & tire-kicking, and darn fine food.

Just a thought from an out-of-towner...

I'm very familiar with that bandanas (there's a whole chain of them around here).. I go there too much..

As for the downtown area... I'm clueless. Time to bring out mapquest!

Pappy's Smokehouse, 3106 Olive St. (just east of Compton).

But get there early; they fill up fast & when they run out of BBQ, they're all done for the day.

another great place, Chuck-a-burger! they actually encourage car club meet ups, although those are more along the lines of classic cars. But who cares. Chuck-A-Burger Drive In, crusin’ every Wednesday & Friday in St. Charles
