HELP!! Anyone had a stuck spark plug? 2009 Cab, center cylinder. Hasn't broken, yet extremely difficult to turn. Can repair be completed without dropping engine? Anxious to hear feedback. Thanks.

Pretty scary.. with an aluminum head you might be out of luck.I would try running some MMO through the cylinder (if you can) and the PB Blaster to loosen up any carbon that might be causing the trouble. First we have heard of a spark plug getting stuck.

If it ends up being stripped, best way is to replace the head. I have had plug holes repaired on the vehicle (Ford Expeditions were bad for blowing out plugs) and I would assume they make a kit for the smart plugs, you will want to use a Time-sert or similar one that has a holding mechanism and not the Heli-coils
