I just bought a 2016 prime. I luv it. The sound system isn’t bad but definitely not great. I would like to add an underrated subwoofer just a cheapie. eBay has a 480 watt for like fifty. Just something to give it a little more mmmf. My question is I read on another forum that their is a plug for stock subwoofer under drivers seat. Exactly where? Anyone got a pic. Also if I do find the plug can I just plug any powered subwoofer? Thanks for any help. New to the smart world. Please held need mmmf. Land vehicle Vehicle Car Motor vehicle City car

My 2016 Prime came with that option (stock radio with JBL subwoofer).
I think the plug under the driver's seat is for the JBL amplifier (if you have the option) and it is very hard to get at unless you have the driver's seat removed and peel off the carpet.
The 2 channel outputs from radio (left and right) will go to the JBL amp under the seat and then 8 channel outputs will fan out from there.
The subwoofer is installed at the rear left trunk area connected to the plug coming out of a hole on the trunk wall panel.

Think u could take a picture of the plug coming out of a hole on the trunk wall panel.
Sure, why not. I need a set of pictures of that anyway. Sorry, no picture of the amp under the driver's seat yet.

Just got myself a used TS-WX120A subwoofer of ebay. Now wondering how I;m going to connect it to the Smart Media System. May have to look for the amp wiring under the seat & see if that is any good.
