I was having intermittant problems with my 2013 shifting/limp home mode. Took it to one of the better foreign car shops
here in asheville. They found a TCM error P2802(implausable signals from shifter). They found a TSB(techinal service bulletin)
for the car, from MB. They unplugged the shifter actuator, clutch actuator, and speed sensor. Cleaned the conneections with air
hose, and plugged all back in. Car is shifting like NEW again. And no weird odor.(slipping clutch??)
So for $55. they fixed a problem that has been buggng me for the past year or longer! Why smart center knoxville couldn't
find the problem,in august at my car's 5yr/50,000mi checkup,is anybody's guess??....................
