Hello everyone, I’m a new member here.
My wife and I would like to buy a used 453 as a second car and need some advice. We had used Car2Go Smart cars for several years until they withdrew from Toronto. We were happy with the original Smart but preferred the 453. I was the one with the membership so I had always driven.
We recently stopped at a local used car dealer and checked out a 453. The one that was available to view was sold and awaiting pickup. My wife sat in it and felt that with the seat forward and the steering wheel tilted down it was a good fit for her at 4’11”. We were short on time so we decided to return a few days later. On the next visit we did a test drive of an available one and realized that this one didn’t have tilt steering. Since then we’ve been following up on every 453 for sale within 500km and none have tilt steering.
Is there any particular model or package that gets us this feature?

Thanks. This thread suggests that tall drivers just lower the adjustable seat. Raising the seat might help overcome the lack of tilt steering for my wife, however none of the 2016/2017s available in or near Toronto have seat height adjustment. The market here is flooded with the Car2Go fleet vehicles which were all identical.
