I recently changed out my tire wheel combo from stock to 195/45-16's and 215/40-16's. Americas tire put 32psi in the front and rear.

I have been driving the car in town and absolutely love it. Today I went to work, took the car up to 85 to check my speedy calibration vs the GPS. from about 70 to 85 the car wandered more than it usually did with the stock tires, like getting blown around by the wind.

I have little knowledge of tire air pressure except what smart recommends we use. I cant help but feel the wandering was due to the higher pressure in the front tires.

What are your experiences?

Thank you in advance.

On my stock rims and tires I had a tech inflate all four to different pressures, all high. One front tire was at 37 psi and the car bounced and wandered around on the road.

...look at the max press on the sidewall of the tire...pump to a few PSI lower than that value...adjust accordingly after a few good drives...you know you'll have to go lower...

Jetfuel..it's a trial and Ray process...
