Just ordered the SmartMadness 15" Genious Newton in Silver with 15X5 front and 15X6.5 Rear. What is the max tire I can have without rubbing?

Just got off the phone with them. Did that before posting. They said stick with stock.

i got 165/65/15's on a set of stock rims.
Square centimeter of pre-rub on the top of the inner fender that has stopped growing.
So i would say:
165/65 on your 5" wide fronts
185/60 on your 6.5" wide rears

I believe that 5.5" is the minimum rim width for 195/50. With that staggered setup, I'd agree with 195/50 rear and 175/55 front. Personally, I run 15x6 rims front and rear with 185/55s at the moment (195/50 previously).

Right now Im looking for 195/50 rear and 175/55 front. But having a hard time finding matching sets.

Change the order and get all 4 in 15x6.5 Thats a Premo setup. You can then rotate your tires to keep them evened up. No rubbing, and better handling...

Yes. I ran 195/50 on a 15x6 rim for over 50K miles front and rear with no problems even in spirited driving. And, many others have done the same thing with good results.

I've got Falken Zeix 185-60 15's all around on DeCorsa IQs (15x6) .... Just got em' but no rubbing as of yet. It's really close in the front well, but lock-to-lock U-turns didn't rub anywhere.

It's going to be turning while hitting something or something that causes the car to move on its suspension that's going to show any rubbing. Something like turning into a parking lot while hitting a bump in the transition from road to parking lot. I can get my 185/55s to barely rub on the inside fender liner in at least one oddball tight turn situation as the car makes an off camber transition from a road to a driveway.

But, even if it does rub slightly, if it's not too bad then who cares if you like the other improvements. :)

OK pulled the trigger on 4 Cooper Zeon ZPT - 195/50R15 $350 out the door including pulling TPS out of my old set and inflating them as spares/ sale. I'm going to sell the wider rear steel rims with stock 175s to someone who wants 4 175s on hubcap wheels and use the fronts as spares for mine and my Father In Laws.

I think I did pretty well, what say you? (Install Tomorrow)
