I’ve never had a modern vehicle in my stable over heat. In over the 40 cars, I’ve owned over the years. My 1970 Camaro SS thermostat was the only one that stuck. Luckily a mile away from home. A quick trip, to Western auto, replaced that puppy. In less the 45 minutes. I look at it, if it’s not broken, don’t worry about it.
I never felt, I needed a scan gauge on my smart car. Going on 13 years now. The only issue with our smart car. We were stuck in grid lock. I-70 outside St. Louis. 110 degrees outside. The dinky AC evaporator froze over. The car didn’t over heat.
