Looking to add a bike rack on the 2018 passion. Since they have discontinued the tow socket on the right side on the rear, I thought I would weld one in so I could use the older version racks. Simple enough job to pull rear bumper cover off and unfold the actual steel bumper bar and weld a nut on that side with corresponding hole in the cover. Problem is the thread of the tow bar is a weird size, can’t seem to find a steel nut to fit. Looks to be a 15mm hole. If it’s proprietary to MB I would have to get some custom machining done and that’s gonna cost.
Does anyone know what thread it is? Is it the same as in previous smarts with the double rear tow holes?

16mm3 or 16mm4 are the suggestions so far but unsure if this applies to 2017/18 model years
