Traction Control, OFF.

Unintentionally I found away that TC disables itself, however.
It's not the most elegant manner as it's a lengthily procedure.
I have been able to replicate the procedure twice successfully. I can only assume this will only work with manual equip vehicles, as I do not have a DSG.

Foremost, you will need a stretch of a downhill road that equates to about 3-6 minutes of coasting in neutral. Do not put the car in gear. After a few minutes or miles coasting you will get a system electronic error malfunction, please visit workshop and the ESP/TC light will come on. All electronics will continue to function as normal except the TC/ESP and hill assist mechanism.

Again, not the most elegant however it does the trick, for now.

Kinda sorta almost wish there were tracks up my way.... but as far as i'm aware.... there aren't.
Your profile says you are in Pennsylvania. Pocono is up thereabouts and should have open track days fairly often.

pulling the fuse, or bypassing it could cause other systems to shut down. On the 451 it also disables the ABS brakes, which isn't an issue on the track, but might come in handy on the street. Also I found the traction control to be a good thing driving down the highway at 55 and hitting some black ice. Kept me straight until I could get back to dry pavement. The short wheelbase makes it easy to get crazy real fast. Just my opinion.

**Memories of my smart spinning like a top a couple winters ago.**

Thankfully I spun 360 degrees without leaving my lane, but boy that would have been a good day to keep esp turned on!
You pull the fuse that governs the alarm and your traction control and horn will shut off.
Wait, are you saying you discovered how to turn off esp in a 453?
Some of you are WAY to cautious. Older crowed i take it.
Unfortunately pulling fuse 15, still keeps Stability control, most likely wind cross protection and also most likely tipping over protection.
From what i can tell thus far, fuse 15 only takes off throttle traction control. When i throw the car into a turn, i can feel SC kicking in however my throttle is not cutting like before - where the throttle would go into " limp mode" and revolutions of the motor would drop drastically. Revolutions are now still climbing just not at a rapid rate, and no limp mode.

I do want to find away to remove Stability control ,as it will interfere as the lateral load builds up.

I'm 24. :p Basically my 451 spends almost entire winters drifting around like it's in a Fast and the Furious movie. Last winter I decided to take him ice racing because, why not?

My current project is to turn him into a mini offroader or rally car.

Thankfully the 453 will be spared from my shenanigans. :)
Yeah, call me an old man, but I got tired of fixing cars every weekend and beating the crap out of them during the week.

Fuse 7. A year ago when I had my alarm going off and I removed the fuse I discovered this... the horn stopped working, so did the traction control.
