Had it done yesterday, and honestly I haven't noticed anything because I never have driven it in "D" (where I think most of the improvement lies). My wife may see something after driving it. To me the change in paddle shifting is inconsequential as I am always in hand-manual.

There are a couple of legal things to be done besides the electronics - the original VIN label has to be changed because it was found that it could be removed intact, and the original VECI lable could become unreadable. Only certain vehicles with certain options get the battery upgrade (I didn't), and you are given an arguably better (slightly better) owners manual.

I had my upgrade done Saturday, 3/14/09, and I got the new battery, transmission, stickers, and a few other things. The battery upgrade is I believe for the Passion with factory alarm. The transmission upgrade does make some difference in the quickness of the auto shifts , and I like the ability to shift to the manual mode with the paddles.

battery is for comfort package (auto wipers and headlamps). vehci labels and owners manual and reprogram is for all cars. then there is a vin label replacement for certain cars if needed

I do not have auto-wipers/headlamps, or comfort package but I got the new battery. I do have a very early build date.
